SR Becomes First School In Fannin County to Become a TIA Approved District!
It's an exciting day to be a Rebel! Sam Rayburn ISD proudly announces that our Local Designation Plan, a vital component of the Teacher Incentive Allotment (TIA), has received approval for the 2022-2023 school year. TIA, established by the 86th Texas Legislature through House Bill 3, offers a pathway for effective educators to earn higher salaries, while empowering districts to attract and retain top-tier teachers.
As of February 2024, SRISD stands as the only district in Fannin County with an approved TIA Designation. This distinction significantly enhances funding opportunities for our outstanding staff here at Sam Rayburn, as well as for prospective educators who aspire to join our dedicated team.
In our inaugural year of receiving this esteemed designation, SRISD was delighted to award these distinctions to many of our deserving teachers. We eagerly anticipate securing more designations throughout the current school year and for years to come, as we continue to support our exceptional teachers, both present and future.
Countless hours of meticulous planning and collaboration culminated in today's announcement. This involved a rigorous, multi-step process encompassing the review of educator evaluation plans, student progress assessments, and robust stakeholder engagement. Within Sam Rayburn ISD's Local Plan, every teacher is eligible to earn a designation, and our aspiration is for all our teachers to achieve this recognition in the coming years. Heartfelt congratulations to our Rebel teachers, and a special expression of gratitude to the SRISD Administration for facilitating this transformative three-year journey for our educators. Undoubtedly, it's a great day to be part of the Rebel family!
